I have been working in the insurance field for 13 years, starting in claims with an automobile carrier in 1995. My experience there set the foundation for my excellent customer service skills and reputation. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine, in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and a minor in Spanish. In 2005, I got my insurance license and started my career as an agent in health, life, disability, long-term care and supplemental health plans. As an independent agent, I had to make choices for myself regarding my own personal insurance, as I did not have a Human Resources Department to help me make these decisions. As a self-employed, unemployed, entrepreneur, between jobs or whatever your situation or budget may be, I’ve been there, too! It’s my job to listen to YOU! I will find out what your needs are for any of the products/services that I offer and I will be there for you through the application process, to make sure your insurance experience is a positive one. I will also be there for you down the road if you have any questions or concerns regarding your coverage and/or claims. There is so much going on right now in the economy, the job market and with health care reform, it’s important to work with an agent who is going to be there for you in the long run and help navigate the system for you. While there is no way to see the future, my experience as an agent has opened my eyes to the fragility of life and how crucial it is to be protected financially from health-related issues in our lives.
Customer service and follow through are my number one commitments! I enjoy networking with other self-employed women business owners through Totally Fabulous Females, Our Common Thread, and NAWBO-LA. While not working, I enjoy exercising, going to the beach, riding my bike, reading, dancing, listening to music and spending time with my son.
