What’s tasty chocolate, and creepy, all at the same time? Spider cakes! For the perfect Halloween craft and treat, this recipe for spooky spider cupcakes is great for school parties, scout celebrations, and family fun times.

Ingredients:
- Chocolate cupcakes
- Chocolate frosting
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Mini marshmallows
- Chocolate chips
- Black licorice strings
Make a batch of chocolate cupcakes using your favorite boxed mix. Set them aside to cool, then frost them with chocolate icing. Pour chocolate sprinkles into a bowl, then dip the frosting part of the cupcakes into the sprinkles. This will give your spider a creepy chocolate body.
Squash a mini marshmallow until it’s flat, then insert the point of a chocolate chip in the center. This makes your spider’s eye. Make two of these for each cupcake and place them on the body.
Cut eight licorice strings 4 inches long. Hold the strings together in one hand, and bend them in half to give these licorice legs knees. Poke them into the side of the cupcakes for the spider’s legs to finish your Halloween treats.
